According to Calcalist, an Israeli business newspaper, iOption binary option broker has been shut down. The out of the blue news has rocked traders, affiliates and the company employees alike.
iOption was one of the biggest binary broker with over 70 employees. What is even more disturbing is that iOption has recently acquired CySEC CIF license, becoming one of very few licensed binary brokers.
The employees of iOption have been informed and dismissed on Friday November 8th. Without any former announcements to the traders, the broker’s website still appears online, shining bright without any messages to traders about the current situation.
According to the reports, many traders have been complaining about the withdrawal issues from the broker for the last several months. Similarly, some of the iOptions affiliates were unable to receive the payments.
Among the chaos, there are rumors that the company has been sold and the buyer identity is yet to be revealed.
